Outfit of the Moment: Coool Blue and (Vegan) Leather

I love leather. Vegan (faux), real, black, purple, for my feet, for my butt! It adds just the right edge to an outfit. Just be careful about using too much at once :) I have been lucky enough to find all of my leather pieces at my fave consignment shop. This purple leather skirt, the skirt in this post, and most recently a rad leather vest that you'll be seeing soon that makes me feel like popping a wheely.

How do you incorporate (vegan) leather into your wardrobe? Are you a lover or a hater?

The Prettiest Eggs You'll Evah See

Deviled eggs are popular in my house.
Really popular. Like fly off the table as soon as I set it down popular.

They are a pretty standard dish so when I hosted a grad party for my mother I thought "let's serve it with a twist - a pretty twist." I'm a sucker for presentation and pretty food especially pretty food that tastes good so when I found this version on Cupcakes and Cashmere I was like der!

For all you crunchies out there no worries these eggs are
colored from beets not - gasp - artificial coloring :-)

Inspired by CupcakesandCashmere and Source Here

Heads up for this Recipe there is sugar in the pickling mixture if you don't want your eggs to have a slightly sweet taste ditch the sugar or make the eggs a little but spicer ;-)

3 cups water
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 small beet, peeled and sliced
1 small shallot, sliced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 bay leaf
12 hard-boiled large eggs, peeled
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon grainy mustard
1 teaspoon Hot Sauce
Sweet Paprika, to taste (I used chives)

Bring water, vinegar, beet, shallot, sugar, bay leaf, and 1/2 teaspoon salt to a boil in a 2-quart saucepan, then simmer, covered, until beet is tender, about 20 minutes. Cool completely, uncovered. Put beet mixture in a container with eggs and marinate, chilled, gently stirring once or twice, for 2-6 hours.

Remove eggs from beet mixture and pat dry (discard beet mixture). Cut in half lengthwise and remove yolks. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, and Siracha sauce. Season with salt and pepper, then divide among egg whites and sprinkle with paprika.

Travel Diaries: NYC for Ta's 60th

For better or worse I feel like I'm on the road more than I am at home. I am so lucky I get to travel as much as I do but is it terrible of me to say that sometime all I really want to do is sleep in my king size bed, 1000 thread count sheets, and lush down comforter?

Back in May I went to visit my father in NYC to celebrate his 60th birthday. It was really special because most of my many family members traveled to New York for it! I love my Krazy Kamensky family!!

Outfit of The Moment: Color Color Color

I looooooove color. Some say too much I always say NEVER ENOUGH :)

You may remember this skirt - I have definitely posted it enough it (here and here.) I love it! It hugs in all the right places, hits the perfect spot on my leg (a must have in a skirt for every petite girl) and of course I love the purple color!

Top: Ebay Store, Skirt: JcPenny, Shoes: White Mountain, Sunglasses: F21
Nails: Essie Mod Squad, Sally Hansen Water Color, Lip Color: Buxom Berry Blast

Oh My! So many colors! Can barely handle it!

These sunglasses are sooo old but believe it or not this is the first time I wore them. It's not so easy to work in a pink heart shaped pair of sunglasses in my wardrobe but hey here's to trying!

Comfiest little heel! The sole is cushioned so I feel like I am walking on a cloud!
