Last night I was all snuggled up in bed catching up on 90210 in my pj's and the last thing I expected to do was go out! But my friend Rina just finished finals and that was reason enough for me. We all headed to PD's a dive bar in Sq. Hill which is really Frank's and George's but it's been PD's forever so that's what I call it and two gatorade cocktails, a bloody mary, and a shot of tequila later . . . .

Sarah and Rina!

Troll Looking Yummy Tasting Cimanin Buns

Cinnamon is one of my favorite flavors and scents. I don't know if I would chalk it up as a red head thing but growing up those cinnamon flavored fireballs drove me wild!

Cinnamon buns which I can't help but think of as cimanin are one of my favorite pastries! I love the combo of gooey cinnamon and cream cheese frosting! Just typing about it makes me salivate for them! When I was thinking of what to bring to a Friday night potluck it was a no brainer when as soon as I saw the recipe and accompanied pictures on this website. The Foodess has so many amazing recipes I can't wait to try!

I wasn't able to follow the recipe every step of the way and the dough didn't rise properly :( but they still came out delish!!

Was listening to this song on repeat while baking

LOVE my KitchenAid!

First Steeler's Game

Hey all you Steeler's fans do not be disappointed in me that this my first game!

The night was crisp, the pride a plenty, lost in a sea of black and yellow.

And that was my poetic moment.

Our friend and contracter Bruce took us out to a Steeler's game last night and it was amazing! Good thing the Steeler's didn't let us down. Pittsburgh is Steeler Nation and Bruce is the Steeler's biggest fan. He hasn't missed a game in TEN years! He throws his famous tailgate with his famous margaritas made from a gas powered Steeler blender every week! I love it.

Below are posted pix of the night. Please don't get overwhelmed by the black and yellow and keep scrolling.

He is such a super fan! :)

MMmmmmm. Lemme know if you have a good recipe

Outfit of the Moment: Teacher

I get in the mood sometimes to take on a persona and dress accordingly. I'm not schizophrenic just the adult version of playing dress up :). Along with working on the advertising of our business I sometimes take on substitute teaching at my old high school, Yeshiva Girls School of Pittsburgh.

This is my teacher /office admin persona. It's always a challenge because it has to be super appropriate so I added details like animal print tights and red lips to spice things up.

BIG NEWS!!

On Thursday I will be attending my very first Steelers game! If you are from Pittsburgh, you will most probably stone me for this being my first. I will keep you posted on fashion and maybe if you are lucky, the score.

 Painfully preppy :)

Down in the Dominican

Thanksgiving weekend my lover and I ditched the ceremonial meal and went to the Dominican Republic via Apple Vacations - best deals ever! The Domincan people were so nice and their culture is so vibrant!

We stayed at the Be Live Punta Cana which unfortunatly I wouldn't recommend. None of their staff spoke English and the rooms were not in decent condition. Other than that we were so happy with our vacation! We can't wait to head out again!

Visiting a cigar making shop! The best free sample a person could walk away with!

Parasailing! Not as scary as it looks! Actually really relaxing!

Getting my nails did!
